Review of essie “lovie dovie”

Hey nailistas! Today i have reviewed essie “lovie dovie” . I would describe this as a pink creme. As a creme polish.. this was fairly tricky to apply. It was streaky. Heres the end result. Although the color is nice!

Gradient/ombre nails

First, start off by painting nails in any color u would like. Im using essie “bikini so teeny” . This is from the new collection and this color is known to be a creamy, cornflower baby blue.

Once your color has completly dried, go ahead and grab your makeup or cosmetic sponges. Paint one half of the sponge with the base color u have just painted your nails, and the second half of sponge with your contrast polish of any choice. Here im using orly “luxe” which is a gold chrome like color.

Now, start sponging on nail! Sponging creates the beautiful ombre/gradient effect!

Gradient/ombre nails

First, in any manicure, clear any oil or debris off nails first with a cotton pad soaked in nail polish remover. Then, buff and file nails.

The colors ive used here for this tutorial are: orly “luxe” (gold chrome) and essie “bikini so teeny” (cornflower, baby blue). Followed by oh so fabulous seche vite top coat 🙂 also, a cosmetic sponge is used for gradient effect which wil be used for sponging technique.
